Abstract
What insights emerge when somatic dance and electronic music cultures meet on the dance floor? This thesis chronicles my personal experiences within these worlds—tensions, discoveries, and open questions. Somatics philosophy and electronic dance music transmit cultural knowledges vis-à-vis the body. I interweave narrative, participation, analysis, and studio practice. I argue for greater dialogue between contemporary dance practice and club cultures toward innovative artistic practices. My dancing body becomes a site of cultural critique, collision, and creative change.
