Abstract

How I feel about the mountains is the artistic journey of an exploration around the topic of coexistence between two different realities familiar to the author: life on the Swiss Alps and life in the artistic world of London. This document contains extracts from the personal journal that has accompanied the process of research while traveling in between the two realities, and express the conflict of being physically in on place and longing for the other, or vice-versa. This thesis is a collection of questions, thoughts, discoveries and insights on the theme, through poetry and short stories written by the author.

The project culminated in the realization of a film called How I feel about the mountains, which has been screened for the first time as part of the performance/assessment that took place at the studio theatre on the 15th of September 2017. The film, which is the core of the result of the research, features and combines landscapes from the Alps and sounds of London.
