My overarching question throughout this document, and the work I have done during my two years of study, has concerned deepening and developing my personal practice. Coming from a theatre background, into a dance environment and with an interest in visual art, I have spent my studies trying to understand the ways in which these forms can meld into each other in my personal practice. In this thesis, I question the necessity for these categories in the first place and discuss the ways in which we might try to dismantle them. In everything I do, I seek to queer my work and consider ways in which this is possible throughout every moment in my practice. In discovering the practice of autotheory, I feel that I have found a field where I believe my work sits comfortably, and I explore this idea in this document both in the way I have written it and in relation to my practical work, which I also discuss here. This thesis is about my practice, about my praxis, the thoughts that led me to where I am, the practical work I did that informed my thoughts, the casual moments that I took seriously, and where I think I might go next. This thesis is an acknowledgment, and a thank you to two years of research, exploration, and practice.
